Packing For Your Lake Day

Top Gear Must-Haves When Planning Your Water Sports Lesson with Elevated Wake Co.

Dive into our comprehensive guide on what to bring when planning your water sport lesson with Elevated Wake Co! From swimwear and sun protection to snacks and personal items, we will outline everything you need to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience on the water. Don’t leave home without these essential items – they’re the key to making the most of your thrilling time on Lake Winnipesaukee!

Don’t worry, we’ll be providing the boat, captain, coach, lifejackets and water sports equipment (although you’re more than welcome to bring your own if you have it). While Elevated Wake Co provides top-of-the-line equipment and comprehensive instruction, there are a few essential items you’ll want to bring along to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

Swimwear and Clothing

Get ready for an awesome day on the lake by grabbing your favorite swimsuit! Opt for comfy, moisture-wicking clothes that let you move freely in the water and stay cool on the boat, especially when the sun’s blazing down. Since Lake Winni’s weather can be a bit unpredictable, toss in some extra layers or rain gear just in case you get chilly or a surprise shower pops up. And hey, you might be wondering about wet suits – but no need to worry! Between late June and late September, the water temp is perfect. Plus, our boats have plenty of storage space for your crew’s gear!

Sun Protection

It’s essential to shield yourself from the sun’s rays while on the lake. Avoid sunscreen containing avobenzone, as it can stain and damage the boat’s upholstery. Additionally, please refrain from using spray sunscreen onboard. For a safe and effective option, we recommend Sun Bum’s mineral-based products, available in both tinted and non-tinted versions. You can add this boat-safe sunscreen to your reservation or purchase it at check-in if needed. Don’t forget to accessorize with a hat, sunglasses, and a sun shirt for extra protection. Elevate your sun protection game with Elevated Wake Co. hats and sun shirts, available as convenient add-ons when you book or for purchase upon arrival.

Towel and Change of Clothes

Between sets or after your session, you’ll definitely want to dry off or change into something comfortable and weather appropriate. While we’d love to provide towels, our priority is coaching and spreading the stoke on the water, not laundry duty! So, don’t forget to pack your own towel and a change of clothes to keep yourself dry and comfortable. Check out some of our favorite boat towels here.

Water and Snacks

Staying hydrated is crucial, especially under the scorching New Hampshire sun. Dehydration can sneak up quickly on those hot summer days! While we’ll have some water onboard for you, feel free to bring your own drinks and a small cooler if you prefer. Just remember to avoid glass bottles, as they won’t be allowed on board for safety reasons. If you’re joining us for a longer session, don’t forget to pack some boat-friendly snacks to refuel and keep your energy levels up. Check out our FAQ for insight on types of snacks that are permitted or restricted. And for the best restaurant suggestions for post-session refueling, don’t hesitate to ask our staff!

Personal Items

Feel free to bring along any personal items you may need, such as your keys, wallet, and phone – Our boats are equipped with secure glove boxes for storage, phone chargers, and plenty of bag compartments if you need it. While we have some pretty rad playlists, if you prefer your own music, simply connect to the Bluetooth sound system. You can easily sync your phone and jam to your favorite tunes while you ride or swim!

Positive Attitude

Last but certainly not least, come with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and have fun. Water sports are all about enjoying the experience, progressing and embracing the thrill of adventure. With the right mindset, you’re sure to make the most of your time with Elevated Wake Co. Bring your enthusiasm, and let’s make waves together!

By bringing along these essential items, you’ll be well-prepared to make the most of your time with us. So, gather your gear, pack your sense of adventure, and join us for an unforgettable experience on the water! Don’t wait any longer – book your session now and let’s make some memories!
