Wakesurf Session Overview

Looking for something fun and different to do on Lake Winnipesaukee? Wakesurf Sessions are a two hour coached wakesurfing experience for up to six riders where anyone can show up, try something new, and leave with some new friends, new skills, or a new hobby.

Our coaches are experts at working with any skill level. Whether you are dropping the rope for the first time or you have been riding all summer and want to push your skills further, we can help you get there.

These sessions are public, meaning you may share the boat with other riders who booked the same session unlike our private charter options. Each session takes no more than 6 riders so you still get plenty of riding time over the two hours on the water. If you enjoy social experiences and meeting new people or you are an individual or small group who does not need a full private boat, this is a great fit.

This is a great experience for day trips and locals to get out on beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee. Book a single spot or bring your small group. Sessions depart from our dock in Laconia.

Lake Winnipesaukee Wakesurf Session Reviews

"Never Forget, the Wake Is Your Friend"
Back again for a 2nd year and had a great time with amazing coaches Will and Victoria. Everyone got up! Mantra: Never forget, the wake is your friend.

"Boat Was Very Clean ... Put Out a Great Wave"
I had an absolute blast. The staff was great, I have been on several different boats with different crews and these guys really knew what they were doing and made sure we all had a great experience. They found us a quiet spot on the lake and were very friendly and helpful with good advice on how to improve my skills. The boat was very clean and well taken care of and put out a great wave. I highly recommend.

"Zero Experience ... Up and On the Board Within That Session"
Booked a 1 hour charter for wake surfing and our instructors were Victoria and Colby – Both were excellent coaches – I had zero experience and they were able to get me up and on the board within that session. I had a blast and 10/10 would highly recommend Elevated Wake Co. but especially Victoria and Colby! Thank you again!!

"Lots of Time to Surf and Try New Tricks"
We had an awesome adventure with Elevated Wake on July 11, 2025!! They staff were kind, patient, fun and talented and we were so lucky to have them host us. We had 5 wake surfers and everyone got up and surfing fast! Each surfer had lots of time to surf and try new tricks! We had so much fun, laughing and sharing stories. Sabrina and Ryan were the BEST! We can not wait for next summer!

"Couldn't Have Asked for Better Company"
Just had the most amazing time with friends on Lake Winnipesaukee – a true dream location! Huge thanks to our awesome guides, Colby and Sabrina – super professional, kind, and fun to be around. Couldn’t have asked for better company or a more beautiful place. Already looking forward to the next adventure!

Common Wakesurf Session Questions

What happens if the weather is bad on the day of my activity?

Weather-related delays and cancellations are at our discretion up to the time of departure. We do not cancel for rain, clouds, or undesirable weather, and we never make decisions based on notoriously unreliable forecasts. We only delay or cancel if conditions create an active safety hazard. If we determine that unsafe conditions will prevent your activity, you can reschedule at no cost or receive a full refund. For multi-day experiences, partial refunds are not issued for individual days affected by weather. If you are sensitive to undesirable weather conditions, we recommend ensuring that you have added our TripSafe Cancellation Protection at checkout if your booking qualifies.

What is TripSafe Cancellation Protection?

Plans change and TripSafe has you covered. Add it at checkout and your standard cancellation window is replaced with a 24 hour window before your activity, giving you far more flexibility than our standard policy. If something comes up like weather you are not comfortable with, a sick kid, or a change in plans, you can cancel for any reason and receive a full refund minus TripSafe and booking fees, or reschedule once at no cost. Either way you book with confidence knowing you are not locked in if something comes up. To cancel or reschedule under TripSafe, email info@elevatedadventureoutfitters.com so your request is time-stamped.

What is your cancellation policy?

This policy applies to all bookings unless our recommended TripSafe Cancellation Protection option was selected during checkout.

  • Bookings canceled or changed 5 or more days before your scheduled activity qualify for a full refund or free rescheduling to another available time.
  • With less than 5 days before your scheduled activity, bookings are non-refundable and may only be rescheduled once, subject to availability. Rescheduling for certain dates or times may incur additional fees.
  • No-shows or late arrivals are not eligible for any refund or rescheduling.

To cancel or reschedule, email info@elevatedadventureoutfitters.com or call (603) 704-4454.

Do we need to drive the boat for a charter?

No. Every charter comes with a professional captain who handles everything. Unlike a rental, charters are fully captained experiences. You show up and focus on having a good time.

Can I bring my own board?

Yes. Riders are welcome to bring their own board or life jacket. We provide all equipment for anyone who needs it.

Do I need water sports experience?

None at all. Our coaches have worked with every skill level from complete beginners to experienced riders and most first-timers get up faster than they expect.

Does everyone need to know how to swim?

Anyone participating in water sports behind the boat or planning to get in the water must be a comfortable swimmer. Non-swimmers are welcome to ride along and enjoy the day from the boat.

What safety training and certifications does your team have?

All team members are CPR and First Aid certified. Our captains hold Commercial Captain’s licenses and the whole team of guides complete extensive yearly on-water training.

What happens if I am late?

These are public charter sessions shared with other riders. The boat departs on time and does not return to the dock for late arrivals out of respect for everyone else in the session. Please arrive at least 30 minutes early to allow time for parking and check in.

Are we guaranteed to get up, its our first time?

We have a high success rate, but water sports require coordination, strength, and athletic ability. Your coach will provide professional instruction: success depends on applying what you learn. There’s a possibility you may not get up, but our team will give their best effort to help you succeed.

What happens if someone in our group gets sick on the water?

If someone is not feeling well we will take a break or head back to drop them off if needed. The remaining group is welcome to continue their charter but refunds will not be offered for sickness. If you are prone to motion sickness, take precautions before arrival.

Can I book a session as a single rider?

Single riders are welcome. Our booking configuration requires a minimum of two people to open a time slot, but once a session is open the system automatically allows individuals to book into it. If you are riding solo, look for a session that is already open or give us a call and we will help you find a spot.

Is there a minimum age for the Wakesurf Session?

Our Wakesurf Session is open to riders 13 and older. If your group includes kids under 13, a [Private Charter] will work best for your group.
